Almost 400!!

When I started Sweet Evie, I thought perhaps a few of my friends would follow the page. I didn't ever imagine that 400 would be possible, so to be just a few away, is amazing.

I know pages have thousands of fans but I know my small group have arrived and stayed because they like my page and my work (or at least I hope they do). It's because of this that I value each and every person who stops by.

I wish I had the time to create a masterpiece specially for someone but I don't, so instead I used my fabulous shopping skills. I have a tutu rainbow dress to give away. Just like the one pictured below, except will have a yellow tulle skirt and the winner can pick from the sizes S 0-1, M 1-2, L 2-3, or XL 3-4.

All you have to do to go into the running is comment on this blog post with your name an email address. Winner will be drawn next Sunday, 12th August at 8pm (Qld time).

Thanks so much for coming by my page and supporting me and what I do!

Pretty & Punky

Being a bit of a miserable, sick lump, laying on the couch, I have been staring at my sewing machine sadly. When my flu hit, so did my sewjo!!

I'm far too germy to sew anything sellable or make the millions of dolls lined up waiting for their big release so I decided, feeling marginally better today, to work on a few things for Evie and try out a few new ideas.

So here is idea one - Hello Dolly Bum pants :) I can't wait to try them on Evie because I sort of winged it on the pattern. I just cut out the shape and sew them how I sew shorts for the puppy dolls - easy peasy.

I like things pretty and a bit punky so I broke out the leopard print. Miss Evie will be rocking around Townsville in these!!

SHOWCASE

Hello Lovlies!!
Last year I began to sell some of my creations and Sweet Evie was born. Although we launched on Facebook in October, our real birthday is in September. So, we will be having a showcase with some of our friends to celebrate!!!!

To make sure the boys are covered too, I have picked the theme Woodland Tea Party!!! I'm excited to see how people interpret that and am looking forward to showing off more talented businesses.

There will be giveaways, VIP passes, fun games and few other things to celebrate! Also a bunch of Candy Dolls are being made ready.

If you have a business and want to be part, please contact me on sweet.little.Evie@gmail.com

If your a shopper - Start saving your pennies!!!!

Meet the Candy Dolls

For months now I have been working on a pattern for my very own dolls.

Don't get me wrong, I love the patterns I have bought and used previously. I'm inspired by Dolls and Daydreams and Bit of Whimsy Dolls and love creating from their gorgeous patterns. But it just wasn't enough for me.

Dolls have become my obsession. I search Facebook for gorgeous creations to add to Evie and my little collection. From show pieces to lovable little things, I have coveted them all. Seeing so many amazing dolls continued to fuel my passion to make a Sweet Evie doll and hopefully have worthy to be out there with the many gorgeous creations about.

After testing several patterns half heartedly, I spent some time watching Evie, how she played with her toys. I wanted a doll she could handle and love but I could show off on a shelf if I wanted to as well. Something that could be whatever my imagination, or that of my fans, wanted. Hopefully, I have gotten it right.

Introducing, the Sweet Evie Candy Dolls.

These three lovelies - Amity, Aubrey and Miss Evie's own Aillis, are three of the Tea Party collection that starts off our range and will serve as the face of our doll collections.

Aubrey and Amity are heading off to the homes of ladies who inspire me with their craft and with their skill in business, and I know they will be loved.

Please let me know what you think and what you want to see. I look forward to making Candy Dolls for as many of your little ones as possible.

Welcome to the Sweet side!!

Hello!

If your reading this then your probably already a fan of our page Sweet Evie... If your not then you best pop over and say hi, otherwise this blog is really going to mean nothing to you. You will find us at
www.fb.com/sweet.little.evie

In case your not or you havent een with us long, almost a year ago our little page launched. Starting out as a way to occupy myself being a new mum St home with a newborn that didn't sleep, Sweet Evie has become much more. It is my sanity, my creative outlet, my other baby. It's not multimillion dollar business and it probably will never actually make me any money, but the joy I get from seeing something I made being loved by a little one is enough!

This blog will keep you up to date with any goings on at Sweet Evie central, competitions, exciting news and the likes so keep an eye out for posts.
